Bigfoot seems to be on the loose again! Two ladies on their way to go berry picking for blueberries north of Grassy Narrows, Ont. reported they spied a hulking figure from their truck last Monday morning. They said it was ‘black, about eight feet long and black’.

Ok, so it was black, fine, but eight feet long. Jees, how tall was it? OK, sorry, the story seems to have excited the ladies somewhat.

They reported they had thought of chasing the Sasquatch, but were too unnerved by the sighting and even gave up their berry picking. The creature had really scared them, especially when they returned later with others and found a large, six-toed footprint.

Susquatch or Bigfoot sightings in Manitoba are not all that uncommon – just remember the movie made by a fisher up near Norway House three years ago. That film even made the national TV news. Two years ago there was another sighting near Flin Flon, Manitoba

Sasquatch is an aboriginal word and translates to: "hairy giant". It refers to a large manlike creature some believe could be roaming woods from California up the West Coast and across Canada. Unfortunately none of the evidence has ever been accepted by scientists, as movies and pictures usually turn out to be over very poor quality.
