Southbeach Casino Hotel in Scanterbury Manitoba will open this weekend

Well it seems that inspite of the storm damage earlier this summer the hotel will open on time at the Southbeach Casino. The building looks almost complete from the outside. I guess they are getting the inside ready for their first guests.

The hotel is right next to the casino and will have a connection from the hall with the slot machines right into the lobby of the hotel.

I expect this will bring us lots of visitors from all over North America to our little resort area.

Will there be a grand opening this long weekend, Aug., 30, 31, 7 Sept., 1, 2008.
We want to come out if there is a grand opening, please let me know.

Hi Doreen,

I just talked to somebody that works at the casino. They said there will be a grand opening tomorrow, Friday, but only for VIP guests. In other words only by invitation.
There should be an event though on Sunday for the general public. They couldn’t tell me what exactly was planned though.
