The Manitoba Government has come up with new incentives for home owners willing to use geothermal heating and cooling for their homes.
When building a new home the owner can receive up to $2,000 in a refundable Green Energy Equipment Tax Credit and $1,000 in grants.
Existing home owners that upgrade can receive up to $2100 from the province.
Owners of commercial buildings and expect the province to cover about 10% of the costs, where as the installation of a district geothermal service system can be subsidised with up to $150,000.
This is one way the provincial government of Manitoba will ensure that our province continues to be the nationwide leader in geothermal installations.
