For tonight there has been a Green-thumb alert, a frost warning, for parts of Manitoba.
This will probably not affect the beaches area due to warmth from the Lake, but if you have sensitive plants you might want to prepare none the less.
Now the price for a barrel of crude oil has gone down below $ 100 – that’s almost 50% down from its peak. The price for gasoline went up by almost 15 cents overnight!

The Idle Thyme Restaurant now closes at 2 pm on weekdays.
The Traverse Bay Store closes at 7 pm on weekdays
The Hillside Beach Store will stay open till 8pm and close its kitchen at 7:30 pm during the week.
Saffies in Albert Beach will stay open till 8 pm during the week.

First it was tomatoes from the States with salmonella, then salmonella in Cilantro now its listeriosis in meat products! This last food scare is the worst yet. Quite a few people have actually died from food poisoning and the resulting infection.
The problem seems to originate from a Maple Leaf processing plant in Toronto.
