The Winnipeg Folk Fest 2008 started up yesterday! According to the Free Press 10,437 people attended the opening.

Visitors from all over North Amerika come. They just love our Little Woodstock on the Prarie. This was the 35th time folky and popular bands from all over Canada played at the summer festival in Birds Hill Park. This year saw a band from Africa play again, the Dobet Gnahore.

Other than that the styles of the various groups go from Indie-Rock to Bluegrass and Reggae to Soul and then Hip-Hop. There should be a music direction for everyone.

Anybody who can make the time should go. Go out and enjoy some really great people along with excelent music.
