December 13 Veranda Gift Shop: It was -30c this morning with a bit of a wind (with wind chill -35). But that did not stop the snowmobilers (saw several this morning). Not to much traffic here on Hillside Beach rd. Everybody (except some crazy snowmobilers are staying home by the fireplace.

But hey its Winter and its a dry cold so come on down to the Veranda Gift Shop and we will warm you up with our every day low prices. We are on Hillside Beach Road (across from Domo Gas Foodstore). We have gifts, antiques, furniture, and china.

Talking of dry cold. I just left you guys and am in Germany. It’s minus 8 and feels worse than the minus 20 we had two days ago in Manitoba. It is wet, but there is snow. Something they don’t always have in Germany.
We usually say that in the Winter the rain is just a bit colder than in the summer.

Good to hear of your safe arrival in Germany. Sincere wishes for the happiest Christmas and the best of 2011 to you and Klaus. I
hope (your) Santa Claus is feeling generous this year. “Warm” greetings from Winterpeg.
