Folklorama has started. It even brought us an important visitor to our Province. Prime Minister Stephen Harper dropped by on his way back to Ottawa, to try and rally some Filipino voter support for his next election.

He did have something nice to say about Folklorama and Winnipeg though. Here a direct quote:

"Folklorama is renowned as the largest and oldest multicultural festival of its kind, not just in Canada but indeed in the entire world. And it’s only fitting that it happens here in Winnipeg — the geographic heart of Canada and one of the most ethnically-diverse cities in our country."

We alwas said Manitoba had heart didn’t we!
