The unseasonably cool weather hasn’t stopped berry pickers at U-pick strawberry farms from lining up to start collecting berries.

There also is a new phenomenom called ‘row rage‘ that has pickers protecting their rows against others trying to sneek-pick berries from rows other than the ones they were assigned to.

So far there haven’t been any real phyisical fights, but apparently it got pretty close a few times.

Folks you’re supposed to relax and enjoy strawberry picking, not drip red blood into your basket of goodies from bleeding noses! 🙁

I guess protecting ones food supply is a deeply ingrained instinct in all beasts. Have you ever tried to steal a bone from a dog’s bowl?
