Canadians won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the Olympics!

Finally! Canadians won one of each: a Gold medal, a Silver medal and a Bronz medal!

Carol Huynh, of Hazelton, B.C. won the gold medal for wrestling held at the China Agriculture University Gymnasium on Day 8 of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

The Canadian men’s rowing pair Scott Frandsen and Dave Calder won a silver medal on the water at Shunyi Olympic rowing park on Saturday, the first Canadians to reach the medal podium in Beijing.

Wrestler Tonya Verbeek from Beamsville, Ont. won bronze in the 55-kilogram weight class. Verbeek also won silver in 2004 when when women´s free style wrestling was first included in the Olympics.
