After that hot spell for the last week and a half I had just started getting used to the temperatures. This afternoon, after working in yard – I finally got my new sandpoint to work! – I drove to Pine Falls to pick up some stuff from the hardware store. I was still wearing my shorts and a t-shirt. Well it’s summer, isn’t it? One lady looked at me a told me I was crazy. She said she was ready to go put on her parka and I was still wearing shorts.

I admit the clothes I was wearing may not have been quite warm enough, but I just hadn’t expected the temperatures to drop as quickly as they had! The best thing though, was when I stopped at Traverse Bay Corner on my way back, to try the excelent turkey dinner at the Idle Thyme. I actually saw a man carrying a bag of wood for the fireplace out of the store! Yes it really is almost cold enough to start up the heating.

But tomorrow is supposed to be nice and warm again and it will continue to be warm for the next few days. At least that is what the weatherforecast predicts – you can believe them or not.

Well let’s just hope summer isn’t over yet. It hasn’t been a good year and we could all use the business.

Hi Corner,

thanks for adding your two cents, even if it is slightly off topic
