Ian here reporting from Kamloops which has a balmy temperature of -2c (have not experience that for a while). We left Swift Current on Tuesday Jan 11 at 10am. It was -25c when we left. Arrived Calgary at 3:00(just missed the rush hour…no perimeter highway there). Pushed on to Canmore and stayed the night there. Thankfully it was a bit warmer in Canmore -15c.
Hey hows everything in Hillside…How about of few blogs to keep us informed on the way.
Now lets see what happens in Vancouver tommorow with all that snow…Hope to arrive in the afternoon (before rush hour I hope).
Paulette says hello.

Hi Ian,
hope your trip continues smoothly.
I talked to Cheryl to ask her, if she wants to post. She said that if people want local gossip they should go to the Idle Thyme Restaurant. 🙂
Talking of balmy weather. Here in Germany we have close to 15°C right now. Warmer than some days last June.

Hi Ian,
I may be in Germany, but from what I hear it’s not that cold in Hillside Beach: -10°C and snowing, expected low -14. Could be a lot worse. 😉 Roads are covered in snow and haven’t been plowed in a while. Business is slow, because everybody seems be either snow-birding or off somewheres else.
It’s supposed to get colder though: forcast of -22 for Saturday.
When you get back, maybe you can talk people into posting some local info for the Beaches Area.
Say hi to Paulette.

I have special rurles for both those blocks. I love Dresden plates. But I also love the stars! I have made a whole bunch of those stars string pieced to use up some scraps. Well, everyone loves a star quilt and dresden’s are classic! Cheers! Evelyn
