Today was the last day the Veranda Gift Shop in Hillside Beach was open.
Paulette and Ian have decided to retire and have sold the premises.
Originally Ian ran the McDonald Tool Rental shop from the property at the corner of Hillside Beach Road and Harry Craig Road. Seven years ago his wife moved out from Winnipeg with him and they closed the tool rental shop shortly after that. Paulette started a new business, a gift shop, and the building was expanded a few times, until they now decided to quit and retire.
The premises will be taken over by Ateah Realty starting September 1st.
